Today’s wind powering tomorrow

Campoona Energy is a proposed renewable energy project in South Australia on the Eyre Peninsula, approximately 100km from Whyalla and Port Bonython.

The project will consist of around 70 wind turbines, each with a maximum blade tip height of 250 metres and a combined maximum capacity of around 500 megawatts (MW).

The proposed project will help achieve the South Australia Government’s renewable energy target of 100% renewable energy generation by 2050.

Estimated investment is more than $1 billion in the Eyre Peninsula Region

Up to 350 new construction jobs over a 2.5 year construction period and 10 long-term jobs service jobs to be based in the local area.

Up to 500 MW of new renewable energy capacity to help achieve the state’s renewable energy goals and assist with Australia’s energy transition

Generating enough clean, affordable energy to power approximately 390,000 average SA homes every year.

Up to 1.36 million tonnes of MtCO2e emissions avoided each year.
